Jason Hands
The JASON HANDS Prism pole offset measuring system enables the rod person to accurately position a mini prism for location shots directly, or at a specifically set or measured offset, to points that are awkward or inaccessible by the rod persons reach. Weighing only 6 oz., the JASON HANDS 1 1/2" diameter adapter uses 5/8" x 11 threads tapped into both ends to mount on the top or bottom of a prism pole. Your typically used prism is mounted either under or on top of the JASON HANDS adapter optimize your equipment requirements. The wand, with a mini prism attached, is inserted through JASON HANDS adapter and is secured using the safety pull pin. The mini prism offsets are achieved by sliding the wand back and forth in the adapter to the desired distance and locking in place with the setscrew. Using this configuration with a bi-pod allows the ability to position the mini prism and then work hands free. This makes JASON HANDS ideal for the one-person survey crew. The operator no longer has to remain in position, motionless, while the prism is being acquired by the instrument and the shot taken. Being hands free allows the operator to sketch notes, measure offsets to the location point or perform other tasks increasing productivity. JASON HANDS also reduces the risk to potentially damaging equipment. Once the mini prism is positioned, the operator avoids awkward positions, possibly knocking over the remote setup by trying to operate the data collector while holding the prism motionless. The adaptability of JASON HANDS will prove its versatility. Attaching a prism pole point on one end of the wand creates a short prism pole allowing for low shots or just stabilizing the mini prism when on flat surfaces. JASON HANDS is stored and is transported in its holder mounted directly on the prism pole or bi-pod making it always conveniently accessible for use. Jason Hand comes complete with adapter, wand with stop, quick release pin, 2 5/8x 11 cup screw, 3 speed lock nuts, scarring holster and allen wrench.
