Cantilever Column Pod
The Cantilever Column Pod attaches to any column or post creating an adjustable stable mounting surface for your total station, scanner, laser or level eliminating the need for a tripod when a stable floor is not available and since it is attached to a structural column you don't have to worry about the tripod being knocked over and damaging your instrument. The Cantilever Column Pod instrument mounting surface can rotate about the corner of the column and is slotted to allow the instrument to slide along the surface. This allows the instrument to be set over a point anywhere from 6" to 20" away from the corner of the column. The Cantilever Column Pod attaches to any square, round or I-beam made of steel, wood or concrete using a heavy duty 10' long 2" wide endless loop ratchet strap which allows you to mount to any size column from 6" to 36". For larger columns you can order a longer strap. The unit can support instruments weighing up to 40 pounds and is made of aluminum, weights 4.5 lbs and is 24" long and 6" wide.
